Our story
We started as two artists behind a coffee bar, and turned that creative life into work for Colombian farmers. From baristas we became exporters in 2019. From exporting, and years of learning next to the farmers, we became growers at Cata Reserva. Today we run the whole chain: mindful farming, cupping, export, import and our own warehouses. Farmers and roasters call on us as consultants at every step.
Catalina Gutiérrez
Catalina is Colombian and runs Cata Export from Bogotá. She left graphic design to work as a barista in London, then followed the coffee back to the farms. As chief executive she decides which farms to back, what a lot is worth, and where the company goes.
Pierre Fargetton
Pierre played music for a living. As head of sales he signs for France, the UK and Australia, so no lot leaves Colombia without him. Roasters call him for what to buy, how to use it, and what is worth the wait.
