Coffee first came to Colombia in 1860 in the region of Cundinamarca and quickly spread out around the capital Bogota in towns such as Sasaima where Finca San Jorge is located.

Sasaima is an area of great biodiversity and unique microclimates making its coffee juicy and complex in flavour. Temperatures and humidity levels are ideal for growing coffee and the area benefits from 1600 hours of sun annually.

Andres Tovar and his family work incredibly hard and look into every single detail of farming and processing to ultimately improve the coffee quality. Today we are very happy to be working with this family business, whose attention to detail and innovation guarantee the same quality all year round.

Currently Finca San Jorge steadily produces 10 to 15 tons of Castillo, Caturra and have recently started to experiment with Cenicafe 1, Pink Borbon and Maragogype, exciting times ahead!

Great coffee for a house blend!
